In Pictures: US Ospreys spotted in South Wales

Boeing CV-22 Osprey aircraft of the US Air Force were operating in South Wales yesterday as part of a military exercise which used MOD Saint Athan.

MOD Saint Athan also saw British Army Westland Lynx aircraft as well as US Airforce MC130J Hercules from RAF Mildenhall.

The exercise which took place all day on Friday the 6th May involved aircraft from the 352nd Special Air Operations Wing based at RAF Mildenhall.

Aviation Wales will not be commenting on the exact nature of the exercise for security reasons.
